RiverTrail Orchard & Farm

We are a family of first generation farmers…

…whose mission it is to empower others to connect with the land and deeply appreciate food as a key to lasting human health and well-being.

Core Values

  • Continuous Learning Test new regenerative agricultural principles, document the results and embrace a growth mindset.

  • Stewardship Observe, respect and build diverse ecosystems, above and below the soil for the lasting benefit of all life.

  • Nutritional Healing Food is medicine. Presented with our own health challenges, we have experienced the healing power of fresh, nutrient-dense whole foods and we are passionate about teaching and sharing the benefits of a “back to basics” diet.

  • Being fruitful! Teach the next generation the value of hard work/the fruits of their labour in terms of supporting healthy, happy individuals, families and communities.

How We Grow

Our approach is rooted in regenerative agriculture - prioritizing soil health, biodiversity and sustainability. By using organic, non-GMO seeds and natural growing methods, we aim to produce vibrant, resilient, nutrient-dense food while restoring the land for future generations. Although we are a small farm, every season, we refine our practices, integrating efficient and innovative techniques to grow more sustainably and responsibly. We are transitioning the orchard away from a conventional, chemically sprayed crop to a more sustainable and healthy permaculture model. It takes time and patience.

Why We Do It

We’re committed to growing produce in a way that nourishes both people and the environment and builds a more resilient local food system. Beyond farming and food security, we’re passionate about education, connection and having fun! We want to create a space where people can learn, grow, and experience the joy of eating real food, the way it was intended, full of flavour and life! Whether through our CSA, farm store, hands-on experiences or future agritourism activities, we’re dedicated to sharing our knowledge, fostering community, and inspiring others to disconnect and listen to the natural rhythms of rural life.

What We Offer

  • Fruit: Apples, pears, plums, grapes and raspberries

  • Vegetables: Over 50 varieties

  • Hay: Small square bales

  • Maple Syrup: 100% pure, wood-fired. Dark and very dark are our specialty - more nutrients!

  • Microgreens: New this year

  • Agritourism Activities: Coming 2027-2028 (Pie Apple U-Pick, Pumpkin U-Pick, tours, barn bookings and more)

Although we are not currently certified organic, we are hoping to be by 2027. We currently use natural and organic growing methods, seeds, etc.
